Lauren
Lauren was the 85th person in my project. She was standing on Abbot Kinney blvd in Venice, CA. She was wearing this interesting hat that caught my eye. I thought it would make an interesting photo but that wasn’t the hat that made it interesting, it was her smirk and eyes that made the photo for me. I was surprised at how the photo turned out because I didn’t think too much of it when I took it but it is one of my favorite from my project.
Lizzie
Lizzie was at the Northern Grade pop up shop in Los Angeles. She is a photographer (http://swonderfulphotos.com/blog/). I’m a sucker for gingham and desert boots.
Kayla
Kayla was the 81st person in my 100 Strangers project. She was sitting inside a coffee shop and was looking at something on a laptop. She had a very pensive expression. She agreed to go outside for a bit and let me take some photos. The wind was blowing and I tried to be patient in letting it calm down but I didn’t want to keep her to long. Even though her hair is covering part of her face, I think her innocence comes through. She is originally from Australia and described herself as a scientist and traveler.
Louise
Louise was the 28th person I photographed for my 100 strangers project. He had ridden his bike to the J Crew in Santa Monica. He looked very dapper in his shawl collar and hat and didn’t mind walking outside for the shot. He is one of the few gentlemen that I photographed for the project. Photographing women wasn’t the goal of my project, it just ended up that way because I notice stylish women more than stylish men.
