Louise
Louise was the 28th person I photographed for my 100 strangers project. He had ridden his bike to the J Crew in Santa Monica. He looked very dapper in his shawl collar and hat and didn’t mind walking outside for the shot. He is one of the few gentlemen that I photographed for the project. Photographing women wasn’t the goal of my project, it just ended up that way because I notice stylish women more than stylish men.
Bri
Bri was the 64th stranger in my project. I spotted her as she was getting into a car but thought her hat and dark clothing would make an interesting photo. I tapped on her window and asked if I could take a few photos of her. She said yes and was very enthused about the project. She didn’t need any coaching because she stated she was a model. She was very patient about the process and let me take a few photos with my film camera.
Paul
Paul was the 17th stranger I took a photo of. I started carrying around a camera dedicated for the project and while I was taking a photo of the Santa Monica Pier I saw Paul. He was very understanding of the project because he is a photographer. Paul was taking photographs of the Santa Monica Pier. I approached him and asked if I could take his photo for the 100 strangers project and he said sure. Right before taking the picture I asked him what he did for a living and he said he is a professional portrait photographer. He didn’t really offer any advice and let me take the photo the way I wanted to.
