DSCF0439Marta was walking with a skateboard in downtown Los Angeles. She was a little shy when I approached her and asked if I could take a photo of her. She actually said she hated having photos taken of her. Normally, If I sense that the person is uncomfortable with the idea I tell the person to have a nice day and walk away. But with Marta I was a little more persistent because I thought she would make a great subject, and I think the photo was worth it. Someone on Flickr said there was a Mona Lisa quality to the photo which I think is a huge compliment.
